I also have worked on a lot of other websites directly or indirectly. I am currently a project maintainer on drupal.org for the quiz module. Which can be download and used on any website built on the drupal platform. The quiz module, allows users to create multi-step questionaires for the purpose of testing. The data obtained from these quizzes can then be visualized in an endless array of ways by leveraging the power of another contrib module 'views'. These modules used together you have a highly specialized system which can leverage the power of a configurable sortable spreadsheet with filterable results meaning you can easily find results, or display results in a meaningful way. This module, is widely used in the educational sector, but can also be leveraged on commercial, or community websites.
